You won’t see the newest Mercedes-Benz cruising down the highway. Chances are, you’ll never see one in person at all. That’s because the latest Benz is an extremely limited-run surfboard designed for surfer Garrett McNamara with the help of advertising agency BBDO. The new board was created for riding fast. Very fast. And it was designed exclusively for McNamara, a Mercedes-Benz-sponsored athlete.
Only four Mercedes-Benz surfboards have been produced, all specifically for use by McNamara who rides the gigantic waves of Nazaré Canyon off the coast of Portugal.
The board comes equipped with a built-in telemetry system to report and measure performance after McNamara hits waves upwards of 70 feet.
