6. Engineer better medicines – people differ in their likelihood of developing a disease and their response to medicines. In fact some medicines may help one person but kill another. Better medicines means targeting a patient’s unique genome and delivering medicine only to parts of the body that are sick. Reducing the negative consequences of medicines, especially side effects, will take time but progress is already evident.
