The world’s fastest Rubik’s cube solving robot is well, extremely fast.
I mean so fast that it can solve a Rubik’s cube 400% faster than the fastest human ever to do it.
The robot in the video below takes 1.019 seconds to solve a Rubik’s cube whereas the most talented human doing the same task on this planet takes around five seconds.
Created by two people who want to end human Rubik’s cube solving dominance I’m assuming, the robot features webcams, a few stepper motors, and an interface that enables the robot to turn the cube.
From there, the webcams feed back into a well-known algorithm, which calculates the minimal number of moves it will take to solve the cube in the fastest possible time.
While the impressive 1.019 the Rubik’s cube solving robot put up hasn’t been declared a world record yet, it’s under consideration, and many believe it will be deemed a new record very soon.
