The shipwreck of RMS Titanic, which has been lying at the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean since 1912, intrigues us even today. Now you can witness its history yourself. A London-based tour operator, Blue Marble Private, is launching an eight-day trip to Titanic’s resting place in May 2018.
The journey will be crafted in collaboration with submersibles provider OceanGate Expeditions. They will take only nine wealthy explorers at a time along with a team of deep ocean experts.
For this trip, the lucky sightseers will start their journey from the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. Then they will fly by helicopter to the expedition’s support yacht in the waters of the North Atlantic.
They will spend the first two days on the yacht. On the third day, the passengers will endure a five-hour dive on a specially designed submersible made of titanium and carbon fiber to reach the seabed.
They will sail over the ship’s deck, and they will be able to witness the shipwreck firsthand. They might even take a glance of many of its most famous sights like its grand staircase.
Although it’s like a dream come true, to witness history in person one has to shell out about $100,000.
