Russia has given 40 Mi-35 gunships and Mi-28NE attack helicopters to the Iraqi Army in recent years to help them with anti-terrorist operations and border patrol.
In early June, the city of Samarra was invaded by ISIS militants but were quickly deterred thanks to Iraqi military airstrikes from their attack copters.
The Iraqi Army filmed the whole thing and has since released footage of their Mi-35 gunships destroying the militant convoy.
