Massachusetts may not be as big of a startup mecca as Silicon Valley, but it is home to the world’s largest accelerator program with 128 early-stage startups per program.
According to MassChallenge, it does not take equity or place restrictions on entrepreneurs but provides mentors who are experts in a wide range of disciplines and industries. MassChallenge also provides a curriculum program and events related to startup needs and interests. MassChallenge has set up MassChallenge Israel, which helps early stage Israeli startups to make connections to U.S. partners and investors and a four-month accelerator program in Boston.
Beginning in February 2015, MassChallenge’s MADE@ program will provide startups with 5,000 sq. ft. of design space, electronics, and rapid prototyping equipment.
