A company by the name of Starpool is looking to bring back waterbeds in a big way.
Instead of promoting their new Zerobody waterbed as a product that can replace your traditional mattress, the company is marketing the Zerobody as a relaxation tool, and for good reason.
The Zerobody waterbed isn’t your grandma’s waterbed of old, as the actual water is warm and sits exposed inside of an upholstered frame.
Essentially, the innovative design of the Zerobody waterbed is like a bathtub with mattress-like characteristics; however the user never has to get wet.
Italian designer Christiano Mino and a brain research company called Necogita worked hand in hand with Starpool to ensure the Zerobody acts as a product to help people unwind, giving the user the feeling that his or her body is floating weightlessly.
You can pair the waterbed with an app, which comes with all sorts of neat features, most notably LED lights to set the mood for your peaceful experience.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to see all of the Silicon Valley companies order a gaggle of these beds when pricing becomes available to provide employees with yet another option for sleep and quality downtime.
