The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer HiPhi recently presented an impressively powerful and aggressive 4-door and 4-seat GT hypercar – the HiPhi A, described as a “work of art for the new era,”. The stunning power is nearly a megawatt (1,305 hp), and the model shares similarities with the HiPhi Z model but introduces a new height at the same time. The vehicle was presented at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show.
The HiPhi A features materials such as titanium alloy and nano-ceramics. The performance is delivered by three motors using an 800 V platform and AWD. Every motor has a high-speed carbon fiber rotor and enables a rotating speed of up to 22,000 rpm. On the other hand, the battery is able to discharge a peak power of 1.5 MW, enabling an impressive 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration in 2 seconds and a maximum speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). The battery is also surrounded by a bulletproof carbon fiber panel and a fireproof carbon cover.
As said by David Ding, the CEO and founder of HiPhi, “From the internal combustion engine era to the new era of intelligent electric mobility, the top hypercars should represent the pinnacle of innovative technology while still paying tribute to the classics, showcasing the transformative nature as a way to look toward the future.”
Other benefits also include active rear-wheel steering, an almost 50:50 front-rear weight split, and the utilization of aircraft-grade TC4 titanium alloy for both the interior and exterior trim. Besides, the vehicle also has intelligent torque vectoring and an LED tail light that can show graphics.
HiPhi plans to launch a limited number of this vehicle at the beginning of 2025 and also collaborates with the Chinese brand WESAIL New Energy Automotive. The exact price of the HiPhi A is still unknown.
HiPhi is a Chinese luxury electric vehicle manufacturer. Headquartered in Shanghai, the company was founded in 2019.
