The Apple Watch is not only helping people to achieve their health and fitness goals, but this smart gadget is actually saving the lives of people around the world. It seems the accessory is a bit of a superhero.
Recently in Hong Kong, a 76-year-old semi-retired diamond trader, Gaston D’Aquino, was sitting in church when his Apple Watch alarm went off, telling him that his heart rate was too high. Although he did not feel that anything was wrong, he chose to take the message seriously. He skipped a planned family lunch and went to the hospital.
In the hospital, it was discovered that two of his three main coronary arteries were completely blocked, and the other was 90 percent blocked. He underwent an angioplasty. Now, he recommends that everyone with a heart problem should purchase an Apple Watch.
This is not the first time the Apple Watch has saved a person’s life
In early April, William Monzidelis, 32-year-old New York resident who works at his family’s bowling alley, Bowerland, considered Apple Watch’s warning and went to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with an erupted ulcer.
Doctors credited Apple Watch with saving Monzidelis’ life. Monzidelis said, “I would have been working in my office and they would have found me dead.”
