Harley-Davidson, a well-known American motorcycle manufacturer is starting an e-bike company. Recently the company revealed Serial 1, its new e-bike division. The company plans to bring its first line of products to market in the first half of 2021.
The name Serial 1 comes from “Serial Number One,” the nickname for Harley-Davidson’s oldest known motorcycle built in 1903.
Aaron Frank, Brand Director, Serial 1 Cycle Company, said, “When Harley-Davidson first put power to two wheels in 1903, it changed how the world moved, forever. Inspired by the entrepreneurial vision of Harley-Davidson’s founders, we hope to once again change how cyclists and the cycling-curious move around their world with a Serial 1 eBicycle.”
The bike looks stunning and very comfortable. With its white tires, classic leather saddle, oversized springs, neatly-tucked back brake lights, logo, and handgrips, the bike looks spectacular.
We don’t know much about the e-bike; as Serial 1 has released very few details about the bicycle. We are not clear about its specs like its weight or range or even its price.
Frank said, “Great steps are being taken to make the bikes as easy and intuitive to operate as possible, which includes key features like a mid-mounted motor with integrated battery, integrated lighting and internal brake lines and wiring,”
