Monday, at the North American International Auto Show, Chevrolet unveiled its new all-electric car concept, the Bolt EV, set to compete directly with Tesla.
Price-wise, with a $30,000 tag, the Bolt EV will be one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market and is capable of getting over 200 miles on a single charge.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra said in a press release, “The Bolt EV concept is a game-changing electric vehicle designed for attainability, not exclusivity. Chevrolet believes electrification is a pillar of future transportation and needs to be affordable for a wider segment of customers.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, GM is planning for the Bolt EV to go on sale to the public in 2017.
