Physically demanding jobs can take a toll on the body. When workers exert themselves beyond their physical limits, it can cause work-related injuries or even lead to a fatality.
Now, to protect workers from physically demanding jobs, a European robotics firm German Bionic has introduced three power suits to support the workers– Apogee, Smart SafetyVest, and the German Bionic IO platform.
AI power suits to make work safer, less strenuous, and more attractive in physically demanding industries
One of the power suits, Apogee is the most adaptable and lightest AI-powered suit. Another power suit named SafetyVest is designed to bring ergonomic protection and monitoring for workers. Lastly, the German Bionic IO has monitoring and reporting features as well as an early warning system for ergonomics.
German Bionic will present its AI-powered smart wearable gadgets at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas, which aims to transform workplace safety in physically tolling industries.
German Bionic, a pioneer in the field of wearable suits, was the first firm to introduce connected exoskeleton Cray X for workplaces to support users in lifting movements and prevent poor posture. The Cray X was designed to protect the lower back by giving up to 66 lb (30 kg) of support per lifting movement and providing active walking assistance to prevent fatigue.
