To tap the infinite source of energy, Quaise Energy plans to use its new drilling technology ‘millimeter-wave drilling systems’. The firm will drill with microwaves to go deeper than ever before. These contactless drills could bore holes as deep as 12 miles where the rock reaches temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius (752 Fahrenheit).
It could revolutionize how we produce renewable energy!
