Elon Musk’s Twitter has pretty much become the gateway to all things Tesla and updates regarding the company.
One of his recent tweets teased that a huge Tesla autopilot update is coming in a few weeks which will basically be an over-the-air software update, following a small revision to the upcoming 8.0 software
Of course, this update is coming after a tumultuous past few months for Tesla with its Autopilot system, and is a Tesla Autopilot update and not the hardware update many are also looking forward to.
When the hardware update does come, it is expected to bring more cameras and radar sensors to Tesla vehicles.
Major improvements to Autopilot coming with V8.0 and 8.1 software (std OTA update) primarily through advanced processing of radar signals
