While Elon Musk has bragged about the lifesaving ability of Version 8.0 of Tesla’s Autopilot system, we have yet to really see the autopilot brake system in action.
That is until dashcam footage out of the Netherlands surfaced recently showing a Tesla vehicle announcing a potential collision warning, resulting in the autopilot brake engaging immediately.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the crash, and Tesla’s radar detection and visual sensors ultimately helped driver Frank van Hoesel avoid disaster.
