There are entire classes at universities now dedicated to Hyperloop design plans, not to mention companies vying to develop Elon Musk’s vision of future transportation.
One company, Hyperloop Technologies, plans to build a test track in North Las Vegas, but their idea for a full-on hyperloop differs from what most people are envisioning.
Instead of a track in a tube, Hyperloop Technologies sees an open-air track as a more viable option to shoot a test vehicle upwards of 300 miles per hour in 2 seconds over a track spanning only 1/2 mile.
It remains to be seen who will emerge as the front-runner in Hyperloop design plans, but for now, it’s fun to see all of the innovative ideas floating around.
