Chevrolet had something special lined up for the attendees of NAIAS 2017.
The company unveiled a life-sized LEGO Batmobile comprised of more than 300,000 bricks, a project that took roughly 222 hours to design and an astounding 1,833 hours to build.
The life-sized Batmobile is no joke at 17 feet long and even comes equipped with stud shooters and a roof ‘ejection’ capability.
In addition to being 17 feet long, the vehicle also spans more than 9 feet wide and reaches 7 feet high. The design was actually created as part of a collaboration with students from Detroit’s Cody Rouge Community, A World In Motion, and First LEGO League before being built in the LEGO model shop in Enfield, Connecticut by experienced builders.
Drawing inspiration from ‘The LEGO Batman Movie,’ the vehicle features exactly 344,187 bricks in an array of 17 colors.
