A chandelier not only enhances the illumination, it can also uplift the style of any space. But have you ever heard about a chandelier that can also clean your air?
A London-based designer and biotechnologist Julian Melchiorri has designed a living chandelier that looks cool as cucumber. Called Exhale, this living lamp is made of 70 green algae-filled glass leaves. These algae-filled leaves absorb carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen.
Melchiorri spent years to develop the “green algae glass leaves” used in the Exhale to harness the natural power of photosynthesis to turn CO2 into oxygen.
This air-purifying eco-lamp is suitable for any space where a cleaner environment is required. Not only this, you can configure the leaves of this elegant chandelier into different forms depending on your style.
