Florida-based team Ripple Network Technologies has designed a revolutionary, small, roughly penny-sized wearable that serves as a sort of panic button. It’s the “world’s first wearable support network”…clicking this device triggers the network, giving the wearer immediate access to Tunstall’s professional monitoring team, 24/7.
As per Casey Pittock, CEO of connected health partner Tunstall Americas, “Whether walking alone at night, meeting somebody new for the first time, facing immediate danger, or even traveling the country, Ripple’s device, and service … keep you one click away from the help you need.”
If you click the center button once, you’ll instantaneously receive a call from the Ripple support team. However, in case the circumstance does not permit you to answer the phone, tap the Ripple three or more times which indicates an emergency. In the case of emergency, the support team acts as a mediator to contact the relevant authorities and send the required help. Your mobile phone’s GPS will provide the information about your location.
When you set up your Ripple account, you can provide the information like your picture, physical description, allergies, medical conditions, any current medications you’re taking, etc.
