See Some Amazing Images Sent by Cassini’s Dive Through Saturn’s Rings

Saturn and its rings have always fascinated people. These rings consist of countless numbers of ice particles.

For over ten years, the international Cassini mission led by NASA has been observing Saturn and has released a huge number of beautiful images.

Recently, scientists got their first glimpse into the space between Saturn and its rings. It was the first time any man-made object ventured so far into those swirling bands of ice and dust particles. It was Cassini’s first of 22 planned dives through the rings around the planet.

Cassini used its dish-shaped antenna as a shield while traveling through the regions thick with potentially destructive particles. It was traveling at a speed of 77,000 mph.

The spacecraft will take a fiery death plunge into Saturn in September, and the probe will be lost forever. However, until then, it will continue to deliver some incredible images and update us with the facts about Saturn.
