Boston Dynamics seems to be at the forefront of the robot revolution, already well ahead of the curve with its bipedal and quadrupedal robots.
However, new leaked footage from the company shows off perhaps the most advanced, neat, and terrifying robot we’ve seen yet.
In the GIF below, you can see the new Boston Dynamics robot, named Handle, stand up, cruise, and twirl effortlessly on wheels.
Company founder Marc Raibert describes Handle as an “experiment in combining wheels with legs, with a very dynamic system that is balancing itself all the time and has a lot of knowledge of how to throw its weight around.”
The goal for Handle is to be able to easily handle objects, for example in a warehouse where goods need to be moved around on a regular basis.
