Riva 1920 is known for the company’s unique take on classic furniture pieces, mixing in elements of ancient or old materials with modern aesthetics.

The latest creation from the Italian brand is quite fascinating as it looks like a normal table, yet it features 50,000-year-old Kauri wood placed into a resin setting.

Ultimately, this lends to the ancient New Zealand wood looking like it’s floating within the table, which is all supported by a tubular, dark iron base.

If you look close enough, the Riva 1920 earth table actually portrays a stylized version of our world map, with each piece of wood acting as a continent.

Pretty neat, huh?
