KODA – A Solar Powered House That Can Move Around

Estonian design collective Kodasema created KODA, an innovative micro-home concept that allows owners to move around without having to sacrifice home comfort. This stunning prefabricated tiny home was recently awarded the silver medal at American Architecture Prize for Interior Design. Here are some of its features:

KODA is inclusive with sewage, water, and electricity connections.
KODA has a loft bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen next to the living area. However, one can create a larger living space as each KODA unit can be connected to other KODAs or pre-existing structures.
Quadruple glazing and vacuum-insulated concrete walls in KODA helps in minimizing the energy demands and maintaining a comfortable internal temperature.
All the finishing materials are non-toxic.
KODA can be assembled on different surfaces. There is no need for digging up the ground and laying foundations.
Rooftop solar panels on KODA generate more energy than the home needs, allowing it to be used even in remote settings for short periods of time.
This freestanding home can be assembled and disassembled as often as you feel like.
