Millions of blind and visually impaired people around the world have, to an extent, been left out of the digital revolution. Though using smartphones and tablets is possible since most operating systems provide audio support, not all information can be passed through audio.

But this is all about to change. An Austrian company named Blitab Technologies has come up with a revolutionary Braille tablet for visually impaired people.

The tablet is capable of creating text and images by forming micro-bubbles in Braille on its display. These micro-bubbles can be felt by the blind just like regular Braille. In addition, the user can write and edit pages using a Perkins Brailler keyboard.

Blitab is set to be released by the end of next year.
