Shark researcher Mauricio Hoyos Padilla shared footage on his Facebook page of what is being called the biggest shark ever caught on camera.
The shark, a 50-year-old female named Deep Blue who measures 20 feet long, was captured on video off the coast of Mexico and certainly looks like a gigantic creature to say the least.
Deep Blue, who calls the water around Mexico’s Guadalupe Island home, is apparently pregnant according to shark experts.
“Deep Blue has been spared from the longlines and the inherent dangers of being in the wild, and somehow she has found her way in the vast ocean,” Padilla said.
“This amazingly enormous female is carrying several little baby white sharks, just waiting to be swimming free in the ocean.”
