The prospect of photographing a mini Tesla coil doesn’t sound too intriguing until you actually see the photographs.
Photographer Marc Simon Frei used a 1920s-era electrotherapy device to generate electrical discharges, which resemble mini lightning storms, to capture some awesome images.
With a Nikon Df, a macro extension tube, and a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens, Frei was able to capture a series of unique photographs like something I’ve never seen before.
And while electricity is nothing to play around with, it is something I could get used to looking at in fascination.
