The McLaren 675LT made its global debut at the 85th Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, March 3rd. The 675LT – where LT is short for ‘Longtail’ – focuses on performance, weight reduction, optimized aerodynamics, explosive power and the highest levels of driver engagement.
The British manufacturer of high performance, luxury sports cars, McLaren Automotive has pioneered the use of carbon fiber in cars over the past three decades. McLaren describes 675LT as the most race-capable, yet road legal model in their super series to date.
McLaren has remained tight-lipped about the technical specs of the 675LT, but it just recently announced the full spec and details of its new road-going 675 LT:
- The 675LT is able to hit 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds, getting to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 7.9 seconds
- It has a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h)
- The 675LT has a dry weight of 2,711 pounds (1,230kg), thanks to its carbon fiber construction
- 100kg weight saving makes the 675LT the lightest in its class and gives a power-to-weight ratio of 549PS per ton
- It boasts a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine for improved levels of force, torque, and drivability
- The 675LT is available in four bespoke colors; silica white, delta red, Napier green and chicane grey.
