Siemens Global Market Cap $114 Billion

Siemens Global, headquartered in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, may have a market cap just 45% of General Electric’s (GE), but it hasn’t been as focused on market cap as American companies. Siemens also got a later start in building its financial unit accounting for much of the difference in profitability and market value between the two companies. In the end analysis, Siemens is a worth competitor and gets its fair share of wins in the global marketplace.

Siemens is the number two conglomerate in the world, employing 360,000, and has been competing for decades in critical multinational markets while leading the world in medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, healthcare information technology, the prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease among other sectors.

Siemens’ market cap, now at $114 billion, is followed by conglomerates United Technologies at $108 billion, 3M at $89 billion, Honeywell International at $73 billion and ABB at $60 billion.
