AeroMobil’s flying car prototype has been popular on the Internet for years. We’ve covered the concept of bypassing interstate traffic by flying your own AeroMobil to work here on IndustryTap too. But the vehicle inched closer to reality this week after being unveiled at an innovations conference in Vienna on Wednesday.
The AeroMobil 3.0 features a sportscar cockpit to go along with dragonfly wings which fold in behind the cabin when not being used, but creators Stefan Klein and Juraj Vaculik are looking to take their invention the next level.
In fact, CEO of AeroMobil Juraj Vaculik believes the flying car could eventually be a normal mode of transportation. He says his innovation could “change personal transport on a global scale.”
After 25 years of development, AeroMobil’s flying car prototype successfully completed its maiden flight last week and has adopted a test flight schedule moving forward.
Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the Aeromobil 3 flying car is the fact that when it is not flying, the vehicle can be fueled at normal petrol stations and parked in regular parking spots.
