This new automated toilet is the Cadillac of toilet bowls featuring built-in seat warmers, automatic motion sensors, nightlights and music to make your morning ritual all the more pleasurable. The company’s goal is to one day replace the need for toilet paper and to make traditional toilets seem archaic.
Bidets and the idea of cleansing oneself with water has often remained a taboo idea throughout the United States, despite the popularity in European and eastern nations.
The Toto Washlet employs a bidet that allows you to select a temperature, change the pressure of the cleansing process, and some units even have a built-in dryer to top it all off. With an automatic toilet such as this, you may never have to lift a finger again, which could help to eliminate the spread of bacteria from your hands.
The top market for high-tech toilets is Japan whose population has overwhelmingly accepted this modern luxury.
In fact, more households in Japan have automatic toilets than personal computers. Although the premise behind these devices isn’t exactly new, it has taken the U.S. over 20-years and many models to begin accepting these devices into their daily lives.
Toto Washlets are expected to hit the shelves at major retail stores such as Home Depot and Lowes within the year.
