How it works:
Pillcam is swallowed like traditional tablets and it takes the same route through the body as food. Once the patient has swallowed this pill, it travels all the way through the body in a matter of hours. The patient is made to wear a belt, through which it receives and stores the images, to help identify conditions. Then your doctor can review those images to determine the cause of your symptoms.
It doesn’t need to be retrieved and can safely pass through naturally with a bowel movement usually within 24 hours.
