This is a picture of a real building of a hotel in Munich. Spanish Architectural photographer Victor Enrich has stretched, twisted, distorted and exploded this hotel in the series of 88 manipulated photographs.
Victor Enrich created a 3D virtual environment out of a 2D photograph. He made these amazing building pictures using a combination of photography, digital retouching and 3D graphics. The techniques he used are often referred as ‘camera matching’ or ‘perspective matching’.
The process involved in creating these mind-bending architectural distortions was to capture the perspective, then the geometry, then the materials and finally the lighting. Imagination of Victor gives glimpses of angles that would never be built, crafts impossible bends, gravity defying floating orbs and unbelievable splits.
To reach the level of detail needed to achieve high photorealism, Victor Enrich did lot of hard work and came out with the results which are so amazing that one can actually believe some of them are real.
