Google’s latest self-driving car won’t make headlines for the features it has, rather what it does not have… No brakes. No pedals. No steering wheel.
In fact, pretty much the only thing the car does come with is a push button. Google is expected to roll out 100 to 200 versions of the prototype.
“Our software and sensors do all the work,” Google recently wrote in a blog post. “The vehicles will be very basic—we want to learn from them and adapt them as quickly as possible—but they will take you where you want to go at the push of a button.”
