According to several sources, YouTube is currently in talks to buy Twitch, a popular game streaming site and one of the most highly trafficked site’s on the web.
The deal is said to be for approximately $1 billion in cash!
YouTube is the industry leader in online video but have yet to find their niche in live streaming which is where Twitch, a site that features 1 million users broadcasting their gaming every month, could be vital to Google and YouTube as a whole.
If the deal does indeed go through, this could be a major game changer in online video content, specifically live streaming.
