To save space on land and increase transportation capacity, British designers Christopher Christophi and Lucas Mazarrasa have designed a skyscraper rail hub with hyper-speed trains that travel vertically.
The concept behind the design
The basic goal of the skyscraper train hub is to resolve the potential challenges that cities will face by 2075. The plan is to design very fast hyper-trains with the speed almost twice that of today’s bullet trains. Sounds strange but, per the plans, the trains are expected to cover 300 miles in 30 minutes.
The high-speed rail station will be in a skyscraper. The trains will be designed to shoot down the sides of a skyscraper into underground tunnels to their destinations. The high speed rail runs on the magnetic tracks that continue up the outside of the tower station.
How you would be able to sit in upright position in a vertical train
The vertical trains design looks more or less like an amusement park ride. But, according to the report, the train cars will pivot like Ferris wheel seats and the passengers within the carriage will remain in an upright position as the train moves between vertical and horizontal positions.
The Hyper-Speed Vertical Train Hub will not only help in saving the space occupied by the long platforms and tracks, but will also save time and reduce pollution.
This unusual transportation concept is a revolutionary idea that could be the future of the public transportation.
