Local Belgian businessman Patrick Mets was tired of his old, average home. So he did what any perfectly sane millionaire would do. He turned a 100ft water tower into his home.
Originally built between 1938 and 1941, the water tower was completely gutted and redesigned.
Since some of the interior had a structural purpose, compromises had to be made, such as turning this concrete beam into a blackboard.
Many of the pipes were left as well.
His view must be incredible.
This beautiful, custom designed staircase leads to the roof.
The best part of living in a water tower? We can only guess it’s the spectacular, 360 degree view.
Would you want to live here?
