Portuguese artist and architect Didier Faustino’s imaginative “Big Bang” house is a dynamic building which is modeled on the form of an explosion. The house is set to become the next completed residence in the series of Spanish dream houses for French developer Christian Bourdais.
Enjoy beautiful mountain scenery:
This dream house is designed in the way that rectilinear volumes are projected outward in different directions to create a variety of apertures, framing views of the surrounding scenery and sky. These rectilinear volumes are capped with glazed glass skylights.
Diminishing the need of artificial lighting:
Just like the centre of the “Big Bang”, this dynamic house appear to draw in as well as reflect the light at its core. Each of the rectilinear volumes directs light to the center of the house and the interior reflects light, reducing the need for artificial lighting.
Because of a lack of traditional spatial references (top and bottom, right and left), the floors cause the body to feel weightlessness and the first-floor swimming pool connects the indoors to the outdoors physically, allowing inhabitants to swim right into the yard.
The fantastical Casa Faustino home will be located in Spain’s Matarraña region as a part of the Solo Houses series. This Big Bang house is one of twelve fantasy vacation homes that Bourdais asked architects to design without any constraints besides budget.
