If your car runs out of gas at night on a lonely road, do not go to the nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help like you see in horror movies. A new product promises to help drivers avoid that scenario and keep the car going when the gas runs out.
Magic Tank emergency gasoline substitute is safe to store and transport. It works like gasoline in any gasoline powered combustion engine but it’s not gasoline. This non-inflammable liquid is derived from gasoline but with its most volatile components, including butane, removed…making it safe to store in the trunk of your car.
It is free of any ingredients that might damage your car’s engine. It will ignite only if exposed to a flame at a minimum temperature of 105ºF (40.5ºC), but that’s far higher than the flash point of gas…a better alternative than keeping a jerry can of gasoline in the car that’s dangerous and illegal.
When the Magic Tank is poured into a car’s fuel tank, it squeezes every last drop of gas out of the tank. The residual gasoline that’s still in the bottom of the tank then starts the engine and keeps it running as far as it can using an equivalent amount of gasoline. The one condition is that the engine needs to be warm for it to work properly.
Currently, Magic Tank is only sold directly online with prices starting at $29.99 US for a half-gallon. This might be a little expensive but the peace of mind that comes from having a reliable emergency fuel on hand is hard to put a dollar value on when you’re driving those lonely streets at night.
