Danish Architecture firm Bjarke Intels Group (BIG) and real estate company Douglas Elliman have teamed up for a new 34-unit complex called the Honeycomb on the south coast of New Providence.
The gorgeous Bahamas condos are estimated to go for around $3 million, which for wealthy New Yorkers used to paying $10+ million for urban homes looks like a pretty good deal.
Douglas Elliman joined the project in hopes of appealing to New York buyers who regularly make trips to the Bahamas, yet have never had condominiums quite like these where they could enjoy their stay.
The 34 condos are part of a large resort called The Albany, which has already garnered investments from the likes of Tiger Woods and Ernie Els.
Each apartment in the Bahamas comes with an outdoor private terrace and a private pool, with real estate costing approximately $1,600 to $1,700 per square foot. Compared to Manhattan, where square footage can go for much more than that, we may soon see more and more New Yorkers setting their sights on the Bahamas for vacation.
