Megayacht concepts are awesome for the simple fact that, although they may never come to fruition, you still get a glimpse of what world renowned design studios envision.
Norwegian design studio Hareide Design recently released renderings for its 350-foot megayacht concept, called the “mono hull.”
Of course, the windows and views look immaculate but some of the more unique features of the mono hull are its own garden and private beach area. Not to mention, there are two pools onboard, but still pools aren’t exactly unheard of on massive luxury boats.
In my opinion, the private beach area is a novel concept because it uses a rather practical idea by lowering the back end of the boat enough to where the beach area actually fills with water from the ocean. It’s slope also helps in creating waves for what would appear to be a very neat experience and feature for a megayacht concept.
“Today’s mega yachts are most often designed like floating luxury hotels with interiors based on traditional luxury,” Einar Hareide, founder of Hareide Design, told DesignBoom.com. “With this hybrid megayacht concept we want to shift the focus from extrovert admiration to creating a platform for actively experiencing the beauty of nature and the changing elements.”
