The Diesel Technology Forum is reporting that sales of diesel powered vehicles in the United States are up 25% in 2014.
Interestingly, Audi has seen a four-fold increase in diesel sales to 8,100 units while Volkswagen has experienced an 8% decline in diesel sales, even though Volkswagen offers more diesel powered models that any other car company on the market.
The Chevy Cruze diesel has performed well in 2014 with 3,000 sold, with more people turning to diesel cars for better fuel economy.
While diesel sales only make up approximately 3% of the automobile market at the moment, experts agree that number will at least double over the next 3 years.
