Toyota seems committed to powering its cars by way of hydrogen fuel cells and recently unveiled a $70,000 2015 sedan looking to compete with the Tesla Model S.
The new hydrogen-fueled car from Toyota has a cruising range of 430 miles and a refueling time of merely 3 minutes, two features the company hopes will propel Toyota to the top of the alternative energy vehicle market.
Hydrogen fueling stations are pertinent to the success of Toyota’s new vehicle, which is why the company has chosen to first release the vehicle in Japan and then shortly after in California, where these stations are prevalent and people are open-minded to new car technologies.
More specifics are expected to be released by Toyota in the very near future.
