The Water Discus Hotel, Dubai
Designed by Polish company Deep Ocean Technology, the Water Discus will be a truly impressive hotel in Dubai. The resort will have 21 luxury rooms housed in two spaceship looking discs. One disc will be above the water and another below the water. The underwater hotel will have a lavish lobby, a bar and a training pool for scuba diving.

Jules’ Undersea Lodge, Key Largo, Florida, USA
Named after the author of ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea’, Jules’ Undersea Lodge is the oldest underwater room. Originally built in the early 1970s as a research lab, it opened its hatch to the public in 1986 as a cozy accommodation.
Getting there is truly adventurous: Guests have to scuba dive 21 feet beneath the surface of the sea for entry through an opening in the bottom. If you are not a certified diver, you need to go through a three-hour crash course in scuba diving to enter the hotel.
Jules is located in a mangrove lagoon which is a natural nursery area for many reef fish. You can enjoy unobstructed and stunning views of the sea life through 42-inch windows. The room is stocked with all the modern amenities like air conditioning and hot showers.
