We’ve seen crossover vehicles. We’ve seen futuristic vehicles. Now, we’ve got a crossover futuristic vehicle that’s basically a mash up of just about every form of transportation available.
CMC Apex is a Hybrid concept by industrial designer Randy Childs. The vehicle is part truck, car, motorcycle and even helicopter.
While the Apex’s target market is the youth, adults will want to treat this as their toy too. Under the hood you’ll find a supercharged 4 or 6 cylinder engine that generates 300 horsepower. It’s also four-wheel drive with a heavy-duty suspension. The polished body panels of the Apex are made from steel, aluminum and carbon fiber composites. Some panels can even be removed to reduce the weight of the vehicle.
Sit inside the vehicle and you’ll feel like you’re in a roll cage. The interior’s thick padding is designed to keep the driver safe.
The CMC Apex has a base line model and you go up from there. Your average consumer could go for the least expensive version and if you’ve got the money pack on the options to build up your Apex from there.
