It seems that our scientists have discovered aliens. Recently astronomers have picked up a mysterious repeating signal emanating from some unknown source in space, for the second time in history.
The precise nature and origin of these millisecond-long pulses of radio waves, is unknown. However as per scientists, these are coming from the same source about 1.5 billion light years away, with as much energy as a hundred million Suns.
Most of the scientists believe that these are generated by powerful astrophysical phenomena emanating from black holes or super-dense neutron stars merging together. However some say they could be evidence of alien life.
Discovery is made by a Canadian-led team of astronomers as they detected 13 of the flashes using a new type of radio telescope, the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (Chime).
Astrophysicist Ingrid Stairs of the University of British Columbia in Canada, said, “Until now, there was only one known repeating FRB. Knowing that there is another suggests that there could be more out there,”
“And with more repeaters and more sources available for study, we may be able to understand these cosmic puzzles — where they’re from and what causes them,”
